New homes on land west of Station Road
Sustainable Travel
Our proposed new homes would be well placed to link into the existing travel network, ensuring easy and convenient travel by car, bus, cycle and on foot.
There are many amenities within an easy walking distance of the proposed homes, including a Post Office, a ‘Co-operative’ convenience store, pubs and a café. Other services such as Bishops Itchington Primary School and the Harbury GP surgery are also within walking distance of the site. We are proposing a footpath between the proposed new homes and Mount Pleasant in order to create easy and convenient access to the village centre.
The new homes are close to the ‘Church’ bus stops on Gaydon Road, served by the 78 and 665 bus routes which cover Kineton and Leamington Spa; there is also potential to provide new bus stops on Plough Lane or Station Road. As part of our public consultation, we would be interested in hearing your views on how we could provide sustainable and convenient travel for all residents.
Access by Car
The proposed new homes would be well connected via both Plough Lane and Station Road, with the former offering links to Warwick and the latter providing access to Harbury and Southam in the north and junction 12 of the M40 to the south. Residents will be able to access the new homes via both roads, through two priority junctions aligning with existing field gates. The main road through our proposed development will act as a “through road” between the two access points.
